The consultation period expires on 1st April and this application will then be considered by the Planning Committee the following day.

Knowle, Dorridge and Bentley Heath Forum has submitted a request to address the Planning Committee members, and we await confirmation that our request has been agreed.
You will note that our representations not only address specific concerns in respect of the planning application but also the case officers’ conclusion that, for the purposes of interpreting Green Belt policy, Knowle, Dorridge and Bentley Heath is a “village”. This conclusion, if applied, would have far-reaching and potentially unintended consequences for our area. Grey belt rules would apply and the purpose of checking unrestricted sprawl and preventing the merger of neighbouring towns would not apply. This is a fast moving situation and we will keep you updated on any further developments.
