Housing developers Bloor Homes are proposing to build 150 new homes on a site at Hampton Road, Knowle. The site (known as KN1A) is opposite Grimshaw Hall and is the bigger part of an allocation made by Solihull Council in its withdrawn Local Plan. The allocation is expected to be repeated when details of the new version of the Local Plan become public later this month.
Bloor Homes have just started a public consultation exercise. This follows preliminary talks with the Forum. Members of the Planning Team were shown a copy of the proposed masterplan for the site. Following consultation, a planning application is likely to be made to the Council in November.
The scheme includes two big changes from earlier proposals. The Knowle Football Club site (the smaller of the original allocations) is no longer part of the scheme; and the land up to the canal won’t be laid out as playing fields but will remain in agricultural use.
A copy of Bloor Homes’ consultation flyer is reproduced below. The consultation is open until 2 October 2026.
