All the below look to provide good and useful resources to help make self isolation and social distancing just that little bit easier.  However, please do check out the suitability of the links for you and your family.

We would very much welcome your feedback on these, or any suggestions you may have for other links to share.

Every Thursday from 2 April National Theatre Live productions are free to stream on YouTube for 7 days. eg One Man, Two Guvnors - James Corden; Jane Eyre; Treasure Island.....

Learn a foreign language

Access to lots of study content for a wide range of foreign languages. The free account is great for beginners;  Pro version subscription gives extra options for the more advanced.


Nasa at Home

Get lost in space with some out-of-this world images, videos and astronautical facts and stories.  Includes images showing effect of coronavirus on activity in Wuhan, China.

Creative Bug

Offers a wide range of arts and crafts activities and courses for kids and adults.  Free trial, then option to subscribe for unlimited access or pay as you go for the ones you want.

Chester Zoo

Chester Zoo has released a pool of fun and educational activities and resources for kids to do as the UK isolates. Includes videos from their recent very popular virtual tour of the zoo.

PE with Joe Wicks

Originally due to start a tour of schools to promote fitness and healthy living, instead he is livestreaming a “PE lesson” at 9am each day for kids (and parents!) to do at home.
